About Gay Day Outdoors

Gay Day Outdoors is a queer, trans-owned small apparel business based in Columbia, South Carolina. Gay Day Outdoors (GDO) was birthed in 2023 from a combination of forced career change after COVID-19 and a period of boredom while Leigha (owner and creator) recovered from Top Surgery. 

 

Gay Day Outdoors is committed to serving the LGBTQ+ community by providing fun clothing designs and accessories for all folx, especially those who enjoy being outside and active, whether that's hiking, camping, kayaking, playing sports, running, making gains in the gym, working on the farm, reading in a hammock, or anything in-between. We're here for it! 
 

While our motto is to live every day "out, proud, and active," we also acknowledge that being out as a queer person can be dangerous and is a privilege. For this reason, Gay Day Outdoors also offers designs that aren't explicitly 'gay' as we wish to create a safe space and fun wardrobe for everyone.
